ABOUT THIS PROJECT

SEARCH+RESQ was commissioned by Tatsu Ramen to laser etch a custom illustration artwork on aluminum panels for their new Tatsu Ramen restaurant in New York. The mural captures the essence of the restaurants branding imagery, which depicts 3 Samurais in altercation with a dragon whose tail is metamorphosing into noodles. This feature wall of the restaurant consists of 45 tiled blackened aluminum panel sizes 24 x 36 inches. The overall dimensions of the wall measure 10 feet tall by 30 feet wide, making the world’s largest laser engraved project on aluminum panels.

Our original scope of work evolved from laser etching services to full project management which included design & fabrication of all the panels, 100 + hours of laser etching, shipping & handling and overseeing installation. Additionally, we custom designed the new POS cases for all Tatsu restaurants. You can see the product design here
